The President
The incumbent President, Bimal Wijayasinghe, first entered the Executive Committee of Colonel Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundation in 2014 as the representative of Ananda College.
He was actively involved in fund raising projects, and all other activities and was the Media Secretary of the Foundation in 2017-2021. Chaired the organizing committee of Sing alone fundraising event held in 2023.
He held several positions in the Executive Committee, including those of School representative, Media Secretary and finally the Senior Vice President.
He was also the Immediate Past President of Ananda College Old Boys Association (ACOBA) and Past Vice President of Old Anandians’ Sports Club (OASC).
In addition, was the Co – Chairman of “Battle of the Maroons” Ananda – Nalanda joint Big Match organizing committee for the period 2020-2023.
He is a Diploma holder of Open University of Sri Lanka (OUOSL) for Management, Marketing Diploma holder of Sri Lanka Institute of marketing (SLIM) and Sales Management diploma holder of National Institute Business Management (NIBM).
He has vast experience in the field of sales & marketing and started his carrier with Ms. George Steuart & Co., and later served 34 years in senior management level with Worlds # one food manufacture, Nestle Lanka Plc.
Later served as CEO BBPL, subsidiary of Browns Group of Companies.
Office Bearers
The Colonel Henry Steele Olcott Memorial Sports Foundations (CHSOMSF) recently had their 13th Annual General Meeting at Mercantile Cricket Association in Colombo -07.
At the AGM, alumni from the partnered schools gathered to elect the office bearers for the year 2024 -2025 for representing camaraderie and connectivity between its members, the Olcott foundations encompasses of old boys of Ananda college, Nalanda college, Dharmaraja college, Dharmashoka college, Dharmapala College, Maliyadeva College, Rahula College and Mahinda College.
Bimal Wijayasinghe, the newly elected president, is an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo and was the immediate past President of Ananda College Old Boys Association.
